Bulls Bay Golf Club

It takes many sponsors and volunteers to put on such an amazing event as the Hootie Intercollegiate Golf Tournament. But even with people donating their time and resources, without a course to play on, this spectacular college golf tournament would not happen. Bulls Bay Golf Club is not only generous enough to lend our organization their world-renowned course; they do so at no expense.

One of the Most Prestigious and Premier Club Experiences in the Lowcountry

Bulls Bay Golf Club offers one of the most prestigious club experiences - not just in the Lowcountry, but around the nation. It is located just miles from downtown Charleston, SC, and is open to its members.

Originally designed by Mike Strantz, it is one of the most unique, serene, and extraordinary courses equipped with a state-of-the-art learning facility that has trained some of America's top golfers and amateurs alike. Its rustic feel and relaxed yet professional course provides a one-of-a-kind experience that golfers relish every time they step onto the green.

Meet Titleist the Bull - Bulls Bay Golf Club’s Beloved Mascot

Titleist is the iconic mascot that has been a mainstay from the beginning when the club first opened in 2002. Joe Rice, the club founder, purchased the Scottish Highland-Texas Longhorn mix in 2001 from an auction.

When the course was slated to open, it only seemed fitting that Titleist would be the face of the club and golf course. He is as much of a tradition as the Hootie Collegiate Event itself, which is why he sits prominently at the head of the logo to remind everyone of the Bulls Bay Golf Club tradition. You are not an official champion of the event until you hop on for a ceremonial ride to parade your victory.

With Gratitude

We would like to extend our gratitude not just to the Bulls Bay Golf Club organization, but also to all the volunteers, workers, sponsors, and administrators who work tirelessly to make sure the event goes off without a hitch. Without their support and generosity, we would not be able to put on such an amazing event that does so much to give back to the community in so many ways.
